The Susquehanna County Recycling Center is proud to announce that through our efforts to minimize the waste stream, and maximize our resources, we can now take your Rigid Plastic items.

Rigid Plastics encompass a wide range of plastic items found in your homes and businesses, from children’s toys to plastic pallets. Rigid plastics also account for a substantial amount of space used in a landfill and recycling them is another step towards our main goal of environmental sustainability.

Non-Acceptable Items:

1.     No food containers!

2.      No Vinyl, PVC, or Rubber products ( i.e. Vinyl siding, PVC water pipes or conduit)

3.      No Oil containers  

Acceptable Rigid Plastic Items

bulletAll clean 1-5 gallon buckets,
bulletPlastic toys & Playhouses
bulletCDs and DVDs and their cases
bulletLaundry baskets, Lawn furniture
bulletPlastic Shelving
bulletAll plastic totes, Pet carriers
bulletCleaned Empty garbage cans (any size)
bulletRinsed Plastic drums (any size)
bulletPlastic pallets
bulletPlastic landscape trays and Flower pots
bulletPlastic 5 gallon water bottles
bulletPlastic toy packaging
bulletAutomotive plastics: hubcaps, grills, bed liners, headlight & rear light lenses
